Fire resistant materials

It is a mat of superfine basalt fibers without a binder, stitched together using a knitting and stitching method, and laminated with aluminum foil on one side. The main advantages of Bazaltek euro-MBOR:

  • Versatility! Used for fire protection of air ducts and metal structures, high-temperature insulation of chimneys, and thermal insulation and fire protection of walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • 3-in-1! In addition to fire protection, euro-MBOR is used for heat and sound insulation.
  • Eco-friendly! Non-toxic and does not form toxic compounds with other substances. Contains no phenol-formaldehyde resins.
  • Vibration resistance! Retains its properties under conditions of increased vibration, even under high temperatures.
  • Durability! Provided there is no mechanical damage, the material has an unlimited service life.

Euro-MBOR is the main component in Bazaltek structural fire protection systems. It is used in fire protection systems for air ducts and metal structures.

The convenient range of thicknesses for euro-MBOR fire protection material, from 5 mm to 23 mm, allows for precise calculation of its fire-resistant properties and its use in a wide range of fire protection applications.

Scope of application

  • Process pipelines, including those for combined heat and power plants, thermal power plants, and nuclear power plants
  • Chimneys and flues
  • Ventilation ducts and chimneys
  • Cryogenic equipment
  • Power equipment, including those for combined heat and power plants, thermal power plants, and nuclear power plants
  • Filters for cleaning gas, air, and liquid media
  • Fire ducts for fireplaces and heating stoves
  • Fire ducts for fireplaces and heating stoves
  • Fire protection of air ducts up to EI 180 minutes
  • Equipment, pipelines, and soundproofing structures in aircraft and shipbuilding
  • euro-MBOR is supplied in rolls, packaged in branded film.

Storage

The material should be stored in a closed, dry room with a relative humidity of no more than 85%. Rolls should be stored horizontally in stacks no more than 6 deep.
